Family First!

Monday July 7:

It was a busy day for me at work.  Wes was busy on boat projects. We went out to Merlin and Tima's for a wonderful dinner of spaghetti with chicken and bread.  It was delicious!  After dinner and a nice visit, we went to the laundromat to do our laundry then off to bed.

Tuesday July 8:

Again, had a busy day at work for me. Wes had Tima's car so he ran errands and got some items we needed.  He then worked on boat projects.  There was also a lighthouse meeting, so we saw the OSG group and got a picture of Merlin with the "it's all Greek to me" shirt.  After catching up with the OSG guys, we went to the clubhouse for Mexican night and enjoyed some good food and beverages with several members.

Wednesday July 9:

Another busy workday for me while Wes continues to tackle items around the boat.  All electrical "issues" have been resolved!  That is a relief!  We had a quiet dinner on the boat with Aaron.  Wes helped him with a boat he was working on, then we just relaxed a bit before heading to bed.

Thursday July 10:

We had another day of work and boat projects.  After work we went up to the clubhouse for burgers, drinks and socializing with several members of the GBYC.  

Friday July 11:

Wes got word that his uncle wasn't doing well and not likely to be with us much longer.  After some discussions on our options to get to Bay City as soon as possible, we decided to rent a car and make the drive to Bay City on Saturday.  So we secured a car, picked it up, then once we got back to the boat we packed up what we would need.  We loaded up the car so it was ready to go in the morning and headed up to the clubhouse for fish fry and drinks.  It was supposed to be an early night, but we got caught on the fun wheel and ended up staying up way too late.  A good time was had by all!  

Saturday July 12:

Unfortunately Wes's uncle passed Friday night, but we wanted to get there to be with his aunt and cousins, so we still were making the trip.  We did not get moving as early as planned, but we hit the road and headed to Bay City.  We arrived and visited with his aunt and cousins, then went out to Lucky's Steakhouse for dinner.  It was another delicious meal.  Then back to his aunts house for more catching up then we all went to bed.

Sunday July 13:

Arrangements were all made and sorted out, then his cousin Kristen and her husband Matt packed up to head home to IN.  We got a couple of pictures of us all including his Aunt Gay.  We then got in the car and drove to the marina we will be staying at while in Bay City and caught up with the friends.  We had an enjoyable afternoon sitting under a tree watching all the boats.  The the three of us headed back to Gay's house where we had dinner there and a quiet evening in.
