Monday, Nov 17:
Wes was up at 0600, I was moving slower. He started with clearing off the bed in the Admiral's cabin. I got up and did the dishes, then helped getting everything put away. Finished cleaning, then did a little work. Wes went over early to visit and went ahead and checked us in. While he was there, he ran into Pete and Cheryl. They all came to the boat and we visited on the aft deck, then walked over and had lunch at Daiquiri's with them. Then back to the boat for a quick stop before going up to the In Process Looper introductions. Then back to the boat for Looper Crawls. We had a steady flow of people go through. Then we quickly packed up and went up to the reception, dinner and Gold/Platinum Looper intros. We finally made it back to the boat around 2130. I was beat!! We went to bed shortly thereafter.
Tuesday, Nov 18:
Wes was good and got up to do his Bible study. I was still tired so slept longer then got up and showered. We went up around 0730 and visited with some of the sponsors. Then we spent the day in sessions (and lunch). We went back to the boat around 1430 to get a little work done before the Looper Crawls started. We had our safety check, then went and toured some other's boats. Then we went back to Oma and enjoyed docktales with Paul and Suzanne. We got back to the boat, relaxed a bit then off to bed.
There was a couple dolphin tour boats there. One has a parrot on board and let me take a picture with it.Wednesday, Nov 19:
Another busy day at the rendezvous! We headed over for a full morning of sessions, lunch, more sessions. Then quick back to Toscana to setup for docktales, back up for the group picture, then back to the boat for more looper crawls. Then it was time for the reception, dinner and program. It was a good time! We were walking back with Paul and Suzanne from Oma and ended up standing on the dock talking until after 2200. We got back to the boat and went straight to bed!
Thursday, Nov 20:
Last day of the rendezvous. Another full morning of sessions then lunch. Both Wes and I hosted different round tables. Wes did paper charting in a digital world and I did working while looping. Here's a picture of Wes's bible study group (those that were there). After we were done with the roundtables, we went back to Toscana and relaxed a bit. Then Walt and Elana from Echos II and Paul and Suzanne from Oma joined us for dinner at Dick's Last Resort. It was a lot of fun!! We walked back to after dinner, relaxed a bit, then off to bed.
Friday, Nov 21:
Wes was up early as usual. I took advantage of my day off and "slept in" until 0700. I gathered up all our laundry and walked up to get it done as we are leaving the next day. Everyone else had the same idea. It took over 3 hours, but I got all our laundry done (I did our sheets too, so I had more than usual). On our way back to the boat we spotted Bobby and Felicia walking towards us so we stopped and visited a little. I told Wes he could go with them to help Bobby with a couple projects while I put laundry away and make the bed. When I got done, I walked over to their boat Seaz the Day, then we walked over to Villaggio Grille for lunch with Bobby and Felicia. It was delicious. Then Wes went back with Bobby to his boat, Felicia had to get back to their house for some deliveries, and I walked over to the nail place and treated myself to a pedicure. Wes and I both got done about the same time, so we walked around the shops and looked around. We got some hot sauces from the Pepper Palace, enjoyed a little ice cream, and found a trinket for our wall. Then we stopped by and visited Bill on Serenity (Sarah was gone visiting her mom), then stopped by Stella Maris to visit with Mike and Karen. Then we walked up to Ginny Lane Bar and Grille and enjoyed dinner and drinks with Paul and Suzanne and Tim and Kathleen. I enjoyed some raw oysters while Wes had some cajun egg rolls with shrimp. They were both good but the company was better! We walked back to the boat, relaxed a bit, then off to bed.
Saturday, Nov 22:
We both got up and got ready. We then got things ready to leave (had to fill water, do dishes, secure items, take out the trash, etc.), then walked up and paid our bill. We shoved off around 1100 as we weren't going far. We were both looking forward to a quite peaceful night at anchor. We were all settled in at our anchorage around 1230. We dropped the dinghy and went to shore. We walked over to the gulf side and walked down and put our feet in the Gulf of America. It was a beautiful afternoon. Then we got back in the dinghy and went around and visited fellow loopers that were anchored nearby and in Fort McRee. We stopped by Knot on Call on our way back and enjoyed docktales. It was getting dark, so we got back in the dinghy and went back to Toscana where we had chicken tacos for dinner, then enjoyed a quiet evening.
Sunday, Nov 23:
We got up and decided to pull the anchor and head over to Fort McRee anchorage. It was a short 4-5 mile ride. We got there mid-morning, set the hook, the did / watched church. Then we gathered all our "stuff" so I could enjoy a beach day. Wes brought me over in the dinghy, then went back to Toscana to listed to the Packer game. Knot of Call came over and joined me at the beach, then Wes came over at half-time. Thistle also came over and joined us and the six of us enjoyed a great afternoon on the beach. Then we all went back to Toscana where I made my cheesy spinach chicken dish and all six of us enjoyed anchortales and dinner of our aft deck. It was a great day and evening! We relaxed a bit then went to bed.
