Welcome to the East Coast!

 Monday, March 16:

Wes got up early and started planning our day.  I woke up around 0630.  I got moving around 0700 and started working.  Wes had things ready to go, so we dropped the lines around 0730 and started heading across Lake Okeechobee. We made it to the lock to get off the lake around 1100 just as the wind was picking up, so our timing was perfect.  Then we made our way through the canal to our anchorage for the night.  We arrived around 1400.  I was on a work call so Wes had to drop the hook without me.  We anchored above the St Lucie Lock with plans to lock through in the morning (when I don't have a work call).  The rain decided to come and then go and then come back, etc.  When the rain finally stopped, we made dinner outside and enjoyed eating on the aft deck.  There was a nice breeze, so we stayed out there until about sunset.  Then we went in to watch a little TV then off to bed.

Tuesday, March 17:

We both got up and did our respective bible studies.  Then we pulled the anchor and went through the lock around 0900.  It was a cool and cloudy day.  We didn't have any issues.  We needed to wait for a rail bridge to lift, but that wasn't too long.  We arrived at our anchorage in Faber Cove around 1445 (right in between calls for work).  It was still windy and cool, so once I was done with work, we warmed up leftovers for dinner and watched some TV before heading to bed.

 Wednesday, March 18:

We got up and Wes made us breakfast sandwiches.  I started working.  We pulled the anchor a little before 1000 and went over to Fort Pierce City Marina,  We arrived around 1040 and after some issues figuring out what slip we were in, we got secured by 1050 so I was all set for my work call at 1100.  I continued working, while Wes was up on the flybridge updating charts.  Wes went up for happy hour/docktales at 1500.  I still had work to do, so I didn't join them until about 1430.  We caught up with Greg and Angie on Summer Breeze as well as Serenity (Gary and Julie), Poncho, and Solstice (Rob and Josie).  We also met some loopers.  It was a nice visit.  Then back to the boat for dinner then virtual docktales.  After that, we relaxed a bit then off to bed.

Thursday, March 19:

I got up and started working.  Wes got up and did computer work and packaging up burgees to be mailed out.  Wes went to a used marine shop with Greg and Rob while I worked.  After I was done with work, we went up to the Tiki Bar with Serenity and later Solstice.  We enjoyed some beverages and had a nice visit.  Then Weezer and Happy Hour joined us.  That was a quick visit as we needed to still make dinner.  We went back to the boat for dinner, watched some TV then off to bed.

Friday, March 20:

Wes got up and did some compute work.  I got up and started working.  Wes then smoked some cream cheese.  We went up to the boater's lounge around 1630.  There 6 boats there.  We had a nice visit!  We all slowly dispersed.  Then my friend and previous co-worker Katie stopped by for dinner and a visit.  She was kind enough to bring flowers and dessert.  We enjoyed dinner and beverages on the aft deck until Katie left around 2200.  We watched a little TV then we went to bed.

Saturday, March 21:

Wes got up and started on some more computer work.  I was slower getting up, but then we gathered our stuff and went to the farmer's market where we met up with Gary and Lynn from Sunshine.  We visited some, then walked around the farmer's market and got some veggies and sourdough bread.  Then we went back to the boat for a bit.  We met back up with Gary and Lynn (and their son, daughter-in-law, and friend) and watched the Michigan State basketball game.  Then back to the boat for a cocktail, then they left for dinner.  We had dinner on the boat, watched some TV then off to bed.

Sunday, March 22:

Once again, Wes got up and started doing computer work.  I was lazy and slept in some.  We had a some boat projects to do, so we pulled the entire chain out, where Wes sprayed it down and redid some of the zip ties.  We put the chain back.  Wes tried to watch where it was getting bunched up.  I also pulled the shower grates so Wes could power wash them.  While he was doing that, I was scrubbing the shower floors.  While doing so, I found a weak spot in our main shower.  So, that means Wes took a trip to Harbor Freight for parts and supplies.  When he returned, we pulled all the chain out again (it got knotted up) and then put it all back in slower this time and Wes determined what he needs to do to get it to work better on it's own.  Then he went to work on fixing the spot in our shower.  He did a temporary repair of filling in the gap with spray foam, then sealing it.  From there we went up to the boater's lounge again and met up with Ben and Brenda (from MTOA).  We had a nice long visit with several beverages and snacks consumed.  We got back to the boat around 2030, watched some TV then went to bed.
