Monday, March 30:
We got up and Wes did more route planning and I started working. I took my laptop and laundry up to the condos and I setup in a conference room near the laundry room and got our laundry done while I worked. Then during my lunch, we ran the Walmart to provision. Once we got back, we put the stuff away and I went back to work. After work, Claudia came over and we enjoyed a nice visit on the aft deck while having dinner and a beverage. After dinner, Claudia went back to her boat and we watched some baseball before heading to bed.
Tuesday, March 31:
We both got up and did our respective bible studies. Wes went up to the condo conference room for his bible study as that is where David used to go to do the bible study when he was still with us. Once Wes got back, we got everything ready and Claudia came over to help us with our lines. Then we were off and headed to St. Augustine. I continued working all day. We arrived around 1400 and dropped the anchor. I finished up work around 1730, then we took the dinghy in so we could explore the town some. We scootered around town and enjoyed the architecture. Then we met up with Stella Marris (Mike and Karen), Counting Stars (Bob and Cecily), and Solstice (Robert and Josie) at Harry's Seafood Bar and Grille for some dinner and beverages. We had a great time catching up with everyone! After dinner, we all went back to our own boats. We relaxed a bit and watched a little TV, then off to bed!
Wednesday, April 1:
We got up and Wes secured the dinghy and got the boat ready for travel. I started working. We pulled the anchor around 0800 so we could make the 0830 bridge opening. It was a nice day for a cruise! The AICW reminded me somewhat of the river system, but there were "grassy" sections as well where you'd see a lot of birds. It was a beautiful, peaceful ride. We arrived a Sister's Creek around 1330. We were able to get all tied up and secure well before my work call at 1400. I continued to work on the flybridge while Wes did boat stuff. When I was done working, we took the scooters down and checked out the island. There wasn't much to see, but we met a looper that was at the other dock getting a pump out then with the low tide, they got stuck and were waiting for the tide to rise so they could continue on. Then we went back to the boat. There were a couple sailboats there. One joined us on our aft deck for docktales where we also "saw" the Artemis II space shuttle launch. We could see the tail and a little flame. It was still neat to see! Then Wes went on a MTOA zoom call discussing replacing fuel tanks. I heated us up some dinner, then relaxed a bit. When Wes got off his call, we watched a little TV, then off to bed.
We got up right away and got moving as we have a longer day of travel. We dropped the lines and started making our way up the AICW around 0715. It was a cool morning, but still and peaceful. The pictures don't do it's justice, but the sky was beautiful with the sun peaking between clouds and casting rays through the clouds and catching various colors. We saw a few dolphins. No pictures of them as we have a lot of them, but I always love seeing them. The wind picked up in the afternoon. We passed the Eleven22 Retreat Center. It looked very nice! We also had a small bunch of birds that were "following" us. The pictures don't show all of them, but there were 12-15 of them behind us flying along. I think they were hoping we were a fishing boat and they were looking for scraps. They were persistent and they stayed with us for awhile. We arrived at Jekyll Island, GA around 1500. We got the anchor set, then I went back to work. Once I was done working, we sat on the aft deck and enjoyed happy hour. Then we had leftovers for dinner. Finally, we went inside, relaxed by watching some TV, then went to bed.

Friday, April 3:
We got up and got going. We pulled the anchor around 0730 and started north. We went into Morningstar Marina on St. Simons Island, GA. We arrived around 0915, got all tied up, then Wes went inside to see if they could figure out a way for us to pay without using Dock Wau. It took two managers, but they figured it out, so we hooked up our power and I went back to work. Summer Breeze (Greg and Angie) crossed their wake and this is their marina, so we wanted to come in and celebrate with them! I had half a day, so after my work call, we got the scooters out and explored some. We went to see the Avenue of Oaks, the St Simons Island Lighthouse Museum, and the World War II Home Front Museum. Then back to the boat where we met up with Greg and Angie and enjoyed docktales on our aft deck. Then we had dinner, relaxed and watched some TV, then off to bed.
We weren't in a big hurry in the morning. Greg and Angie stopped by around 0800 to say good-bye. We got all set and ready to go and dropped the lines around 0830. It was a pleasant day on the water. Even going past some sounds, it wasn't bad at all. I sat in my antigravity chair on the bow most of the day soaking up the sun and enjoying God's beauty all around us. There was a lot of grass and saltwater marsh. We got to our anchorage around 1630 and dropped the hook. We enjoyed a beverage on the aft deck, then made dinner that we also enjoyed on the aft deck. Then we went inside, watched some TV (Wes did some computer work), watched some TV, then off to bed.
We got up and got moving right away as we wanted to get into Savannah with time to explore. We pulled and anchor around 0715 and started our way to Savannah. It was a nice day. A little overcast, but the clouds looked cool. Again I spent most of the day on the bow in my chair. We got to IGY Marina around 1630 and got secured to the dock. As we were walking up to check in, it started to rain. It rained pretty good for awhile. We had to wait for someone to show up at the marina office so we could check in. I went back to the boat while Wes waited. Then we got the scooters down and headed to the ferry where it took us across the river where we met up with Ramble On (Mark and Diana) at an Irish Pub and enjoyed some beverages and dinner. It was great catching up with them. Then we went to another bar where we met up with Happy Hour (Frank and Sharon and their daughter Jessica) and had another beverage. Then we all headed to the ferry, where we all went back to Happy Hour and enjoyed a nightcap. It was after midnight by the time we got back to our boat. We went to bed, then I noticed it was raining again and we'd left our scooters on the dock, so we got up and put them on the boat under the flybridge. It took us a bit to get relaxed again, so to say it was a late night is an understatement.
